I Like the Black One!
Batik Sarongs
The Batik Sarongs are made of cotton although silk is also used. These sarongs are traditionally warn by woman in Malaysia. While you can get manufactured Batik Sarongs, the Hand Made and Hand Printed sarongs are often more favorable.
While staying in Penang be sure to check out one of the many stops to see these magnificent pieces of Art being made.
It is really impressive to see the ladies at work making these. They are extremely talented and have magnificent pieces to show off to all.
Yes, we bought one, ore two…

Hi, I’d like to know, where did you buy these Sarong, and how much did they cost?
Hi Aishah,
We bought these Sarongs in Penang, Malaysia. I do not recall exactly where though, I’m sorry! However, if you are in Penang there are several locations like the one I posted above. They are very easy to find. If memory serves me correct, I believe we these Sarongs ranged from $20 to $40 AUD. I hope this helps!
Cheers.
The employees making these sarongs are so talented. Love the design on the first one.
Yeah, that was my favorite design too. It’s a beautiful tone of blue.
